Introduction to Admissions

The Master in Commodity Trading (Former Master of Arts in International Trading, Commodity Finance and Shipping) is designed for individuals who want to work in trading, shipping, specialised commodity finance banks or services companies related to these activities.


The Master is an academic program for candidates with little or no work experience (not necessarily in Trading). If you have more than 3 years of work experience, you will not be eligible for the Master. Please have a look at the Diploma in Commodity trading on the same website.

The Selection Committee reviews all applications and have a final say in the provisional acceptance of a candidate.

 

Q&As

 

Is the GMAT or the GRE Mandatory?

Yes, as of 2017 we will also accept the GRE. You will have to pass one of these exams by the application deadline 28 February. You can print your score at the end of the test and add it to your application file.

 
Can I apply to this program as non-Swiss candidate?
Yes. When you apply, please provide the admissions office with as much information as possible regarding the University degree you have obtained.

If I have more than 3 years of work experience, will I be eligible?Unfortunately not, as this program is for young students who have not yet a profession. Can I apply if I have already two Masters?

Unfortunately not.

 

Can I enter this program if I have a Bachelor from a Distance learning University?

Unfortunately not.

 

Does this program exists in Distance learning?

Unfortunately not.

 

Can I enter this program in January?

No, this program starts only once a year in September

 

Can I attend only a few modules?

I am afraid not. You need to follow all modules.
